Just before her TED performance last week The Observer ran a full page feature on Jo and her work with the Airpiano. With the manic-ness that is TED we didn’t get time to put it up here before, so here it is.
Music blog Song of the Day is featuring ‘There It Is’ as today’s pick.

We are thrilled to announce that Jo has been invited to perform with the Airpiano at the TEDGlobal conference in Edinburgh this July.
TED’s ‘musical curator’ is Thomas Dolby, and previous musicians to be invited to perform at TED include Imogen Heap (2009), Annie Lennox (2010) and David Byrne (2010). You can see the full program for this year’s TEDGlobal here.
What or Who is TED?
TED is a non-profit biannual conference which takes place in Long Beach, California and Edinburgh, Scotland devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading”. The organization was founded in 1984 and was originally dedicated to spreading ideas involving technology, entertainment and design (TED) but in current years has grown to involve spreading ideas in science, politics, global issues, architecture, science, arts, music and much more.
The speakers are given a maximum of 18 minutes to present their ideas in the most innovative and engaging ways they can. Past presenters include Bill Clinton, Jane Goodall, Malcolm Gladwell, Al Gore, Gordon Brown, Richard Dawkins, Julian Asange, Bill Gates, Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and many Nobel Prize winners. The spirit of TED is a celebration of all that is most inspiring about humanity’s progression; as such, it represents a real beacon of hope.
As of July 2010, over 700 talks were available to watch free online at TED.com, and together they had been viewed more than 290 million times. TED Talks are also available to watch on YouTube, iTunes, and on free apps for iPhone, iPad,Android, webOS and Windows Phone 7 (currently not available in the U.S).
Tickets for the 4-day event this July start at $5200 and are available from the TEDGlobal website. We hope that Jo’s appearance will later be available to watch for free on TED.com and related apps - we will let you know..
